Black Lives Matter

              The well-developed nation USA is already being in a crisis worst-hit by corona with most no. of affected people along with the deaths, which suddenly backdropped it economically. At that times, when it thought to recover, another sudden storm that suddenly arose and which trembled the US military& made even president Donald Trump to hide in the house bunker first time in the history.
Ok, by going through this article let's find out the situation & the reason behind it?

What's actually "Black Lives Matter"?
             
               The phrase "Black Lives Matter" is an anthem, a slogan, a hashtag, and an outspoken statement of fact which conveys a straight forward meaning itself. Black lives matter is a human rights organization that supports racial equality and their demand is to put an end to the offenses against the black people in the US.
                While this is not an immediate movement that suddenly arose. The main motto and view of BLM(Black Lives Matter) are, that fights against racism, discrimination, and violence towards black people. These days this protest is not only restricted nationwide but spreading most of the world. This speaks out against the police brutality and systemic racism towards black people that caused the recent deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade and Breonna Taylor, as well as the thousands of violent incidents that happen to black people that aren’t recorded, aren’t reported or even aren’t afforded that what they deserve.

How has it started?
               

                The racism in the United States which we are coming across is not the current issue, this is coming from the back hundreds of years.  The movement "Black Lives Matter" began in 2013 after the killing of an innocent African-American teenager Trayvon Martin by the white policeman George Zimmerman. At its most basic level, in statistics that Black people are twice as likely to be killed by a police officer while unarmed, compared to a white individual. According to a 2015 study, African Americans died at the hands of police at a rate of 7.2 per million, while whites were killed at a rate of 2.9 per million.

                This caused outrage among the black community, not only in the US but also around the world. At the time the hashtag "#BlackLivesMatter " was created to share the protest on social media, causing global headline news.
                Today, the Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc. is a global organization that is active in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, although it has supporters all over the world.
                These days this BLM reached every nook & corner and became the most active revolution because of this recently occurred George Floyd incident, which resembles the idiom "THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK".A 46-year-old African American arrested at the Deli (restaurant) for using a counterfeit (fake) $20 note. The Deli owner called a white cop for that incident. The white cop knelt on his neck and that time George Floyd repeated cry for help "I CAN'T BREATH", and at last he died.

                This incident brought to light the matter of police brutality a police officer who took someone's life for such a petty crime.
                The George Floyd protests and riots are an ongoing series of civil disturbances that initially started in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area of the US, before spreading national wide issues. That's the reason these protests are known as "TWIN PROTESTS".
                Looking at the Census, the population of Minneapolis was around 4 lakhs. Among that:

                                              

This says that the racial minorities of the US are the reason for the protests. The white cop's harassment are limitless. The protests went to peak stage that people surrounded the White House.
                The first time TRUMP shifted his shelter to hide in the home bunker from these protests. Trump, threatened them and said that he will arrange a military force to back step the protests. Which may affect his fame in upcoming elections. To overcome this point he again uses the nationality weapon, Jobs are only for local American people which affects INDIA-US Relations.
           
How Black lives matter related to India?:

       This type of systematic racism injected into us like differences between color, creed, etc from the long back years ago. Which reflects into our social and political mindset. This racism may be introduced into their mind may be from different factors like for example,

    a) income inequality (Blacks are poorer as compared to whites),

    b) employment (Blacks are poorer as unemployed to whites),

    c) housing (Blacks are more homeless as compared to whites),

    d)healthcare,

    e)political power & even as a proportion of their population & education.

               The reason for these may be coming from history about 100-200 years ago, black people were treated as slaves. They were rejected even for voting rights. So that their ancestors of the black people today have lived through such terrible conditions, that they haven't owned no houses or property. Due to the absence of housing or property, there will be no ancestral wealth that is carried from generation to generation  The access to this kind of wealth was denied to most black people due to slavery. This is why most of the black people today are poor because they have no carried over wealth. which is also similar to education, health care, employment opportunities, etc.

            

              In India, we can also observe the same type of racism like black and white, rich and poor, castism, etc. All of them are not projected, but even a little bit of such racism exists at such a place in our minds. Here the reasons are too similar to what we have discussed above like slavery and there will be no ancestral wealth from generation to generation & lack of opportunities etc. And because of these inequalities which are present today, that racial bias is inculcated in some people.

      In the end, BLM is not only the issue restricted to America, but these protests are the sign that how human lives gets affected based on racism, caste & many more. It is in our hands & duty of every youngster to clean up these issues for future development.
